Giraffe Experience

Our Giraffe Experience offers you the chance to get closer than ever before with the TALLEST land animals, leaving you with incredible memories that will last a lifetime! After an introductory briefing you will then have the very special opportunity to meet and feed our Rothschild's giraffes at head height from our viewing platform. You will also have an amazing opportunity to ask our animal experts any questions you may have about this fabulous species, the work of our keepers and the incredible work our teams are doing to protect this species from extinction. 

By buying this gift, not only will it be an experience to remember but you will also be contributing to our conservation work both here and around the world helping to save wildlife from extinction - thank you! 

Your experience:

  • Will last approximately 45 mins with approximately 20 mins spent with the animals. 
  • The chance to meet and feed our giraffes at head height.

Terms and conditions:

  • Experience includes admission for the participant only. An accompanying adult must pay admission, which will need to be purchased separately, or have a valid membership.
  • The Experience is available for adults and children over the age of 11 years old; however children between the ages of 11 to 15 years old must be accompanied by a spectating adult paying normal zoo admission (1 adult per 1 child).
  • Regrettably certain guests will be unable to take part including people with relevant phobias or known allergies, pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals.  
  • Whilst every effort is made to accommodate those with a disability or learning difficulty, due to practicality and health and safety this cannot always be achieved – contact Chester Zoo before purchasing.
