Fruit Bat Experience

Enter our amazing Fruit Bat Forest with one of our expert bat keepers and see our bats in a totally different light!

Hand feed our amazing sebas bats their favourite fruit! Learn all about this incredible species and the work we do to protect bats in the wild. If you enjoy visiting our Fruit Bat Forest, this interactive experience will take you to the next level - bringing you closer to our bats than ever before!

Please note: We advise that any spectating adult enter the Fruit Bat Forest with their child.

Your experience:

Will last approximately 45 minutes in total, with approximately 20 minutes spent feeding the bats.

Experience includes admission for the participant only. An accompanying adult who is prepared to enter Fruit Bat Forest to spectate must pay admission which will need to be purchased separately, or have a valid membership.
The Experience is available for adults and children over the age of 8 years old; however children between the ages of 8 to 15 years old must be accompanied into the zoo by a spectating parent or guardian paying normal zoo admission (1 adult per 1 child).
Regrettably certain guests will be unable to take part including people with epilepsy; relevant phobias or known allergies; pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals.
Whilst every effort is made to accommodate those with a disability or learning difficulty, due to practicality and health and safety this cannot always be achieved – contact Chester Zoo before purchasing.
Maximum of 4 people per experience.
